Ideal Mastering is a low-cost online mastering crew, serving audio artists worldwide. Because we do not maintain a brick-and-mortar studio and your music is digital, there is no rent, no studio hours, and no client sessions so our operating expenses are low, which gives you great skills at a competitive price.
Online mastering is fast becoming an option for unsigned bands trying to get their recordings to sound better. We know that it's a rare unsigned musician who can buy studio time by the hour. A good quality master is a necessary step for a single or an album to have a professional sound, but it does not have to be expensive. We are competitive and flexible. Use us to master your singles for $35 per song. Or use us to master your entire album ( up to 80 munutes of audio ) for $299.
No matter whether the project is a single, singles, or album, we listen, then master your music based on its needs and your taste. We don't use presets. We guarantee professional quality. The audio of your final master will be louder ( of course ), but spacious, better balanced and defined. An individually mastered song has more punch, smoothness and sheen, clarity, and drive. A Mastered album sounds coherent, as if the music was meant to be heard together, and not just a collection of song files.
We are a solution for an audio artist of nearly any budget who needs help getting their album up to standards.

In addition to mastering, we offer mixing services geared toward the modern recording artist. Professional mixing, before mastering, can be a great way to improve your sound. While most serious musicians now record and produce their music out of their home studio, they don't have the professional mixing experience or equipment. If you have tried to mix your project yourself but are unhappy with the results, let us be the other set of ears and mix it for you.

Why should I have my audio mastered? Mastering is the final step, giving your music the professional quality necessary for broadcast, static media, or publishing to the world wide web.
Why does my project needs fresh ears? Think of the mastering engineer as a fresh pair of ears, much like the fresh pair of eyes of a film or paper editor. Mastering engineers develop a sonic sensibility necessary for successful mastering, plus he or she wasn't there when you recorded and mixed your album, so the mastering engineer can offer objective advice.
How do I know it will sound better? You always have input into how your project sounds, and we will do everything we can to make your audio project sound incredible. Every project is completed by an experienced mastering engineer. We have been in business for 13 years and specialize in audio mastering, and include a 100% satisfaction guarantee on every CD we master. That is why we do it best.
Why should pay you to master my songs, I have plugins? Mastering is an art form in itself that requires many years of experience. Our mastering suite has been professionally tuned, stocked with high-end industry-standard analog and digital gear specifically designed to provide you with a master product that cannot be matched by any piece of software or plugin.
How long will it take to master my CD? Mastering generally takes 2 - 3 days for single songs and 5 - 10 business days for full albums depending on our current work load and does not include shipping time. It will then be emailed or shipped back promptly, and arrive at your doorstep. Too slow? You can always request our rush service with express overnight return shipping.
I need my project ASAP! Do you offer rush order services? Yes, we offer rush services on all projects. Of course an additional fee will apply for all rush orders. For more information please email us at

Can I receive a physical master disc, reference disc? A physical redbook master disc, reference disc, and data disc will be included free of charge to all full album project purchases. Less than 5 song mastering submissions will receive .wav and .aiff files online, and made available through digital download. We are always more than happy to send you a physical master and reference disc at any time for an additional fee.
How can you master for such a low price? Our prices are reflective of our low operating expence and the high volume of projects we receive. And by receiving mastering projects via mail or internet, we can avoid the pitfalls of having to schedule appointments or sessions with the client, allowing us to produce work beyond "ordinary" office hours. This in turn means a much lower price to our clients.
So you will work until I am 100% satisfied? Yes, it's true. We are proud to offer our zero-risk guarantee. We will continue to revise your masters at no additional charge until you are totally satisfied with the final result. Once you hear your master, if there are things you want to change about it, simply call or email us with your change requests and we implement those changes and send you another updated master. Simply put, you will get a master that is of the highest possible sound quality available.
What type of payments do you accept? We accept PayPal, checks, and money orders. Or you may pay online with a credit card using our fast and easy online payment option. All personal checks take a minimum of 2 weeks to clear our bank.
What if my question isn't on this list? Just send us an e-mail and we'll be happy to assist you. You can send general inquiries to the following email:
